News & Announcements:

Annual Meeting:

Our Annual Meeting will held Tuesday, March 11th in the Riverside Elementary School Library starting at 7:00PM. We hope to see you there. If you are unable to attend, you can be represented by completing a "Proxy" form and designating another person to cast your vote. The form is attached here and there is a supply of the forms just to the left of the mail box center. Complete the form and drop it off to one of our board members, mail the form or have a neighbor who is attending the meeting bring it with them.

We currently have two openings on the Board of Directors and will be asking people at the meeting to consider joining our Board. New members on the board give us fresh views and ideas on the  issues we deal with. The Board usually meets every other month for about an hour in addition to the time we need to manage activities in the neighborhood. Please consider the opportunity to join the board and volunteer next Tuesday evening.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Irrigation Pump Issues:

  • 6/28: The pumps shut down yesterday due to a deep underground break in the main line supplying the neighborhood.  The Blue Creek team worked until midnight and again today to make repairs, and the system is again running.  Thanks to Blue Creek for taking care of this problem so quickly(here are some pictures of the repair)!  Please continue to follow the Alternate Day Irrigation Schedule.
  • 06/10/13 The pumps appeared to have shut down again last night at around 9pm. They were restarted this morning at around 9am, so please monitor your landscape irrigation needs if your system was scheduled to run during that time. You can view your irrigation schedule here: Alternate Day Irrigation Schedule This morning, the computer which controls the pumps has been reprogrammed by an outside expert so that the pumps will automatically restart if they shut down in the future. We're hopeful this will address the problem, but again, we'll let you know what we're seeing.
  • 06/08/13 Irrigation pumps have been having issues over the past week causing the pumps to shut down intermittently.  Our landscaping contractor is aware, and has been working to diagnose and correct the issue as quickly as possible (with help from outside experts), while resetting the pumps on a daily basis as needed. In the meantime, because there have been these intermittent outages, we wanted to make you aware so that you can closely monitor your watering during this warmer weather (and perhaps consider switching temporarily to city water if you will be out of town). We will let you know when we're back to 100%.

Pathway Update: 06/08/13
The pathway between the corner of Abigail/Temperance and the Greenbelt will be replaced with a concrete walkway this summer.  The Willow tree which was causing lifting and cracking in the current asphalt path has already been removed and will be replaced with a River Birch, which should not cause the same issues. Some city permitting requirements for the pathway removal and replacement are currently being addressed.  Once those are cleared, the pathway reconstruction will folllow. We'll keep everyone updated on the progress.

Ironman Update: 06/06/13

Ironman 70.3 starts at Noon on Saturday with swim at Lucky Peak, followed by the bike ride and finishing with the run in downtown Boise. The bike route will again travel through Bown Crossing during the afternoon. The riders will cross the Park Center Bridge, turn left on to Bown Way to Boise Avenue for another left hand turn on to Boise Avenue. They will travel east on Boise Avenue a short distance before turning right on to Holocomb Road. As riders start arriving traffic control and restrictions will be in place until all the riders have passed through the Bown Market Place. We estimate that the riders will begin arriving around 2:30 and should clear the area by 4:30. Slower riders could be trailing through the area a little later than 4:30. Homeowners will experience delays at the intersection of Bown Way and Riverwalk. These delays can be very short or extended, lasting 5 to 10 minutes. On Saturday we will remove two of the three bollards on the short emergency road that connects our neighborhood with the Wood Duck Subdivision. This will provide you with an alternate route out of the neighborhood to Boise Avenue. We will remove the bollards at Noon and replace them at 6:00PM. If you are not familiar with this section of road, it is on the east side of the neighborhood off Temperance Way. If you use the alternate route, please use caution entering and exiting the road. This is a popular area for foot and bicycle traffic between the subdivisions and the Greenbelt.

Irrigation Update:
The irrigation system is now on! Please follow the Alternate Day Irrigation Schedule and refer to the Irrigation Update email regarding pre-startup reminders.
